My Story
Hiya!
Margarita here!
The best way I can currently describe myself is a job-seeking 23 year old university graduate that has very little idea of what to do in life so I choose to do what I love. At the moment it's making YouTube videos and learning Korean! Tomorrow it may change or it may not. I don't know.
I've been traveling the world since I was about 7 months old and I had an opportunity to live in over 6 beautiful cities in 4 beautiful countries throughout my life, including Moscow, Russia (where I happened to be born), Lloret De Mar, Spain (for a brief but memorable time in my early childhood), Netanya, Israel (where I spent my lovely teenage years), and London, UK (where I currently live).
I began making YouTube videos all the way back in 2012 and since then my channel has grown (ALL thanks to you guys!) to include a constantly growing number of covers in over 5 languages, Korean learning tutorials, travel vlogs, and other random funny videos.
I decided to start a YouTube channel to share my passion for singing and Korean culture with those who may be interested and I still don't understand why anyone would bear with my awkwardness, silly sense of humor and childish personality. As my channel grew I began noticing you guys chatting to each other in the comment sections of my videos and an idea sparked in my head.
Why not try and create a community of like-minded people who truly appreciate the beauty of Korean culture, language learning, singing, etc. There are so many of you out there and we all have so many things in common. Why not create a space where we all can have fun, interact, discuss our favourite dramas/kpop songs, and share our journey of learning Korean together?!
This is where this website comes into the picture! I've dedicated a lot of time and effort to create this space where you can freely access all of my videos, read blog posts to my Weekly Korean series and share your thoughts about them. You may say "well why can't I just do that on YouTube?" and I'll answer with "Well, you certainly can. But the description boxes on YouTube are just so limiting and I want to share more of my thoughts and insights with you all so that's why I'll be writing extensive blog posts on here and give you an opportunity to interact with that." There's also a Forum section (coming soon!!) for you to create discussion threads and ask me questions! :)
This website, just like everything I do, is a work in progress so please feel free to leave constructive criticism (emphasis on constructive haha) and suggestions of anything I should add/get rid of/improve/etc.
Hope you all have a smooth and fun journey around my world of everything Korean and a bit of everything else!
Much love,
x
